A familiar bottle becomes a place for a wish
Participation began with an H5 mobile invitation built around wishing. An invited guest could enter a personal wish; the message travelled into the illustrated bottle, which then became illuminated. The interaction produced an individual wish poster. A recognisable product outline therefore carried two meanings: brand identity and a space for personal expression.
The invitation's idea also relates to the wider visual treatment. Countdown artwork reused the central image's language while developing variations around the brand, its culture and its products. The act of wishing and the repeated visual symbols each gave the participant a way into the gathering's content.
Local landmarks inside the brand outline
A Moutai bottle occupied the centre of the principal artwork. Within its silhouette were architectural landmarks from Ningxia; outside it, sand, a blue daytime sky and a night filled with stars formed the setting. The composition can be read as a contrast of scales: a regional landscape surrounds a compact, familiar bottle. Placing local architecture within that outline gives the relationship between Moutai and Ningxia culture a visible form.
Other displays addressed the brand's five-part marketing approach and its five development directions. There were also areas for products and the fan community. Dimensional lettering, a Xiao Mao display point and a theatre framed by stars appear in the original photographs. Those records offer a way to consider how the bottle outline, character imagery and theme lettering each supplied a recognisable cue.
Tokens open up several kinds of involvement
The market placed cultural activities in a desert setting, with special tokens giving guests access to games. Visitors could try cuju and the traditional arrow-throwing game touhu, make heritage crafts, pose for photographs with camels, explore clothing associated with the desert, or taste Moutai ice cream. Making, playing, photographing and tasting offered different modes of involvement. Together, they gave the branded occasion content that people could enter personally as well as observe.
Chapters and characters guide the programme
The opening used three chapters, each introduced through a video made for its subject. For the outdoor evening performance, the idea of a home for stars supplied the setting; an exchange between Xiao Xun and Xiao Mao connected the programme. Recorded elements included a laser presentation, a launch moment, a torch transfer, dramatic spoken-word performance and dance. Compared with the market's individual activities, chapters and character dialogue offered a shared narrative for watching together.
A gathering in Zhongwei
Kweichow Moutai held this Ningxia fan carnival in Zhongwei on the second of July, in 2023, bringing together over three hundred fans. Read side by side, its wishing invitation, market activities and evening performance address the same brand-and-region theme through personal expression, physical experiences and a common story.
