Routes and Signatures: A SANY Roadshow Connects Memory with Service Commitments

A signed route scroll and clearly stated after-sales deadlines carried different messages during SANY's 2019 heavy-equipment roadshow. This case considers the commemorative object, the customer commitment and the presentation against a wide LED backdrop.

Domestic & Overseas Event Execution

Places and people share a single record

The roadshow produced a commemorative scroll carrying its route, with signing spaces for customers and leaders at the individual stops. The map recorded places; handwriting recorded participants. Once the tour was over, the scroll was retained as a keepsake. It gave gatherings in different locations one shared form of remembrance.

As a presentation idea, the object carried more than a branded illustration. Its mapped route made geographical connections visible, while the signing areas introduced personal traces into that image. Together, these two features make the concept specific: the roadshow's memory consisted of both the places it visited and the people who took part.

After-sales response expressed as deadlines

SANY's heavy-equipment business introduced a customer promise described as three rapid responses plus compensation. Staff were to reach the mine within two hours; parts delivery to the mine had an eight-hour limit; resolving the problem had a twelve-hour deadline. An overrun gave the customer a right to claim parts worth RMB 10,000 for each hour of delay. These were SANY's commitments for after-sales support.

The times and the unit of compensation supplied a concrete reference. Instead of a general statement about speed, the promise distinguished staff arrival, delivery of components and the resolution of an issue, followed by the customer's entitlement if deadlines were exceeded. The scroll retained signs of participation; the service message addressed equipment users' concern about response time. They conveyed different kinds of information.

The visual role of a wide backdrop

The theme paired limitless excitement with a colourful SANY identity. Lighting and sound accompanied the stage's extra-wide LED background. Its horizontal scale can be considered alongside the theme's emphasis on colour and expression. The screen supplied a visual setting for brand information, while the writable scroll connected individuals with the mapped journey.

A route through sixteen regions

The programme ran during March, April, May and June of 2019. Its sixteen-region coverage included Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shanxi, Sichuan, Henan and Anhui. The recorded attendance figure was roughly five hundred. The original photographs can be read with the scroll concept, the customer service message and the stage design as different facets of the national roadshow.
